Les Résistantes 2025 – a meeting of local and global struggles

From August 7th to the 10th, 2025, the second edition of Les Résistantes – local and global struggles meeting will take place in Lower Normandy!

While the 2023 edition in Larzac paid tribute to an emblematic and victorious struggle from the past, this year we will be in a territory currently grappling with the issues we are fighting against: the fight against the 924 Highway in Orne between Briouze and Sevrai.

For this new edition, we are maintaining a strong focus on local struggles, but we want to ensure that many related issues are addressed and highlighted: social, peasant, trade union and environmental struggles, struggles for our rights, feminist and queer struggles, anti-racist struggles, etc. We want to foster alliances between various struggles around common grassroots issues!

From the local to the global level, many organizations unions and collectives are also working on related social, environmental and societal issues, and would benefit greatly from meeting each other and helping each other more.

In concrete terms, these four days will be an opportunity to invite new people to join our struggles, to prepare for joint mobilization, to train, to celebrate our victories, to see how we can help each other and to strengthen the geographical or thematic coalitions of struggles that are forming everywhere. Concerts, workshops, assemblies, meetings, training sessions, film screenings and debates, shows, a children’s area, nature walks, community radio and much more will be on the agenda!
