To get something to eat, some incredible free canteens are being organised! We’ll be bringing you details of the menus soon, as well as descriptions of the canteens and beverage suppliers… the brasseries de l’Orne are preparing an incredible selection of craft beers and natural wines, as well as juices and syrups!

🥤There will of course be unlimited water on site, but don’t forget your water bottles!

La techno plonge

The techno plunge comes from the simple concept of combining the useful with the pleasurable: dishes and music on super large speakers (not necessarily tekno).

Why such a device?

  • Better atmosphere = more rigour = better washing = no spread of disease 😉
  • This takes a load off canteens, which are already doing quite enough as it is.
  • Thanks to super efficiency, we need fewer dishes overall because they’re reused straight after being washed.
  • It’s cooler when it’s 35 in the shade, and you get to join in the fun by tapping your foot
  • You have fun, you look after yourself and others, you meet lots of new people and it’s great!

EVERYONE CAN PARTICIPATE (unless you’re ill or you’re on dry toilet staff during the day).

If you feel like coordinating, because

  • you like taking care of people
  • you’re easy to talk to and you like teaching
  • you like having responsibilities and being challenged
  • you’re rigorous and fun
  • you have stamina, especially when listening to techno music

This is the job for you! Join the coordo team: contact@lesresistantes.fr

If you want to mix, come and announce yourself for a shift! The co-ordinators will let you know which slots are available, depending on the remaining slots and the mix.

Our food charter

Nos bénévoles du groupe approvisionnement, en collaboration avec les cantines, se démènent pour vous proposer :

From the most discreet to the most media-friendly (notably the Greniers des soulèvements), several production collectives will be providing support for Les Résistantes.

And yet another Grenier!

Recognising themselves in the values of the Résistantes, the inhabitants of the bocages, whether farmers or not, got together to put a plot of land under cultivation. This first year of production for the Grenier du bocage will provide several hundred kilos of food for the canteens. However, some of the supplies had to be bought from organic wholesalers, due to the lack of farmers’ networks and militant production. This reality humbly invites us to become more involved in agricultural production or, failing that, to reconsider some of our eating habits.

Including :

...feminist: particular attention was paid to sourcing from farms run by single women or women’s groups..;

…social: food was bought at a fair price, with no competition between farms..;

…decolonial: because not everything can be produced locally, the Resistantes made sure that everything from Zapatista coffee to chocolate was sourced ethically, so as to help provide a better future for peasants in inter-tropical countries ;

…anti-capitalist: at Les Résistantes, food is not a commodity! Meals, bread and snacks are available at free prices. There’s plenty of room for food from collective, grassroots, non-profit and emancipatory production.
